5 Decades ago after they had been
exposed to a highly salted walk!!

Exterior leather has considerable
wear -See photos
Note: These boots were light gray
because they had been exposed to
salt and allowed to dry. This
created issues, the salt protected
the leather like salting meat for
preservation. It also dried the leather
and caused SEVERE Cracks! First I
cleaned these boots, then
reconditioned them. I dyed the
leather back to the Original Black,
then coated with Protectant. These will never
look 'new' again. I managed to
salvage these boots since as they
say The Bones were good. These
took 3 days drying time and
Hours to restore, this is not for
the lover of pristine items, but for
someone who wants to subtly say
HEY I am doing my part to save
the environment by Recycling!

Mid 1950s and was Originally owned
by the Red Cross Shoe Company.
